Therapy
How I work therapeutically
It is normal for us, as human beings, to experience psychological crises under certain conditions (e.g., in family conflicts, workplace conflicts, exam situations, bullying, relationship issues, parenting problems, serious physical illnesses, or those of family members). Here, I offer professional counseling to help you sort through the situation and develop healthy coping mechanisms and viable solutions.
My approach
My specialty is cognitive behavioral therapy, supplemented by methods of Ego-State Therapy, Schema Therapy, and body-psychotherapeutic and mindfulness-based techniques. Additionally, I work with hypnosis, which has proven to be valuable and helpful for improving symptoms or addressing underlying issues in a timely manner. I believe that every person already carries the solutions to their problems within themselves and that these can be unlocked in the therapeutic process by taking advantage of available resources and one’s own self-healing powers.

A relationship built on mutual trust and appreciation between therapist and patient is the cornerstone of a cooperative working alliance and an effective therapeutic process. The foundation of treatment is not only goal-oriented but also solution-focused, i.e., actively addressing a problem and learning new, healthier behaviors. I see myself as a therapist who helps people achieve their own goals through "helping them help themselves”. My role is to support and assist my patients in better understanding themselves and their problems as well as developing expertise for themselves, and utilizing their own resources and strengths. My approach is transparent, meaning that all therapeutic steps are discussed and explained. The methods I use are scientifically grounded, tested and proven through practice.
I have many years of professional experience and certifications in Pain Psychotherapy, EMDR, Hypnosis, Ego-State Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, as well as extensive further training in Schema Therapy, Trauma Therapy, Imagery Rescripting and Reprocessing Therapy (IRRT), Tapping/PEP, Brainspotting, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Comprehensive Resource Model (CRM), and Resource Therapy. I am recognized as a supervisor by the State Psychotherapists' Chamber of Rhineland-Palatinate and the further education program "Psychological Psychotherapy" at the University of Mainz. It is important for me to continuously expand my knowledge and expertise as a state-recognized psychotherapist and I continuously work to strengthen my years of experience in diagnostics and the treatment of mental illnesses through ongoing further education, supervision and interprofessional exchange.
